Privacy Policy

Effective date: January 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Divot Agency, LLC (“Divot Agency,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information in connection with our paid-search advertising management services and the internal tools we use to deliver them.

We operate the website at divotagency.com and provide Google Ads management services to a small portfolio of client businesses. We are a one-person agency. We do not sell a software product, we do not offer public sign-ups, and we do not operate any consumer-facing application.

1. Scope of this policy

This policy covers:

  • Advertising data we access on behalf of our clients through the Google Ads API.
  • Information from visitors to our website.
  • Business contact information clients and prospects provide to us directly.

It applies to all of our business operations, including our internal reporting and analysis tooling.

2. Information we collect

a. Client advertising account data (via the Google Ads API)

We manage client Google Ads accounts that are linked under a single Google Ads manager (MCC) account that we own and operate, with each client’s authorization. Through the official Google Ads API, we access read-only reporting data for those linked accounts, including:

  • Account, campaign, ad group, and budget configuration and status
  • Keyword, ad, and search-term performance metrics
  • Conversion actions and conversion metrics
  • Google Ads recommendations and account change history

We access this data only for accounts that clients have explicitly linked to our manager account. We do not access accounts we have not been authorized to manage.

b. Website visitor information

When you visit our website, we may collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URLs, and any information you voluntarily submit through a contact form (such as your name, email address, and message).

c. Client business contact information

When you engage us as a client, we collect contact and billing details necessary to provide our services and communicate with you.

3. How we use information

We use the information described above solely to:

  • Analyze the performance of client Google Ads accounts we manage
  • Produce internal written briefings that summarize account health and recommend manual optimizations for our review
  • Communicate with clients about their accounts and our services
  • Operate, secure, and maintain our website and internal tooling

We do not use client advertising data for advertising, profiling, resale, or any purpose unrelated to managing the specific client’s account.

4. How the Google Ads API data is processed

Our internal reporting tool has three components:

  1. A connector that runs read-only GAQL SELECT queries against the Google Ads API. The tool issues no mutate operations and has no write capability of any kind. All optimization changes are reviewed and applied manually by us in the Google Ads web interface.
  2. An analysis step that uses the Anthropic Claude API to interpret the returned reporting data and draft written briefings. The reporting data described in Section 2(a) is transmitted to Anthropic, PBC for this processing. Anthropic acts as our data processor and, per its commercial terms, does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. See Anthropic’s privacy policy at https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
  3. A scheduler that runs the analysis on a recurring cadence and delivers the resulting briefings to our own email inbox.

The tool is for our internal use only. It is not exposed to clients, employees, or any external user, and has no public sign-up.

5. How we share information

We do not sell personal information or client advertising data. We share information only as follows:

  • Anthropic, PBC — as described in Section 4, for the AI-assisted analysis step.
  • Google — we transmit API requests to Google to retrieve the reporting data we are authorized to access.
  • Service providers — email and hosting providers strictly as needed to operate our business.
  • Legal requirements — where required by law, subpoena, or other legal process.

Our access to, use of, and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, and our use of the Google Ads API complies with the Google Ads API Terms and Conditions.

6. Data storage and security

Client advertising data and the briefings generated from it are stored locally on a single, access-controlled computer at our place of business and in our private email inbox. We restrict access to this machine and to all credentials. We use OAuth tokens and developer credentials that are stored securely and never committed to public repositories.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information in our care.

7. Data retention and deletion

We retain client advertising data and generated briefings only as long as needed to provide our services. Upon termination of a client engagement, or upon a client’s written request, we will stop accessing that client’s account data and delete the locally stored briefings and any cached reporting data associated with that account. Clients may also remove our manager account’s access to their Google Ads account at any time through the Google Ads interface, which immediately revokes our ability to retrieve their data.

8. Your choices and rights

Clients control their own Google Ads accounts and may revoke our access at any time. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

9. Children’s privacy

Our services are directed to businesses, not to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date above.
